Annual Baby Bash Event Returns

HOUMA, LA-July 13, 2022 Terrebonne General Health System is excited to announce that our Baby Bash event will be back in person. This is a free event for new and expecting parents and families of infants and toddlers. Baby Bash will be held on Saturday, August 6, from 8 am-noon, in conjunction with our Market at the Marina, at the Downtown Houma Marina.

The event is free and open to the public and will include a variety of baby and toddler health and wellness resources and connect parents to local pregnancy and parenting experts. As we celebrate World Breastfeeding Week, activities include lactation guidance, pediatricians to answer questions and a car seat fitting station provided by The Louisiana State Police and Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force. Goodie bags are available for the first 75 guests.

Terrebonne General Women’s Health Center is a comprehensive health center designed for women and families. It is the only system in the region to offer a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Terrebonne General is internationally recognized with top honors as a Baby-Friendly USA hospital, the gold standard in maternity care and the Birth Ready and Baby Ready designations.

“New parents are embarking on such an exciting stage of their lives, and Terrebonne General wants to be there to ensure they have all of the tools necessary to approach parenthood,” said Phyllis Peoples, President and CEO.
